With his new recipe book, Beauty In My Recipes, Dr Olivier Courtin Clarins invites the reader to discover the skin’s four seasons in ways that are as delicious as unexpected.
Each season begins with the particular care that must be taken to look after the skin and delay the effects of ageing, the sun, pollution, wind, and extreme temperatures as much as possible, with simple advices that are easy to follow.
As the author’s philosophy is an overall approach to well-being, the book moves naturally and deliciously through the seasons. With no less than 48 recipes organized by menus with starters, mains and desserts classified by month, the book includes 12 Chef recipes, to prepare tasty dishes that are great for your skin and for your mood!
The author’s challenge was to draw inspiration from Clarins’ skin care and make-up products, dip into their edible plant derived active ingredients (more than half of the 250-plant derived active ingredients from the Clarins herbarium are edible) and use them as recipe ingredients.
Nature, taste, variety, seasonality and creativity are the catchwords for each of these recipes, as our skin and our complexion are truly the reflection of what we eat.
All profits generated by the sale of the book Beauty in my recipes will be donated to the Arthritis Society.
