The power of plants

Patchouli is native to Southeast Asia where it is held in very high regard, and is a symbol of love, fertility and prosperity. Prized by English traders in the 19th century, patchouli leaves were used to wrap precious cargos of cashmere and silk to protect them from moths. In the field of perfumery, the essential oil extracted from patchouli leaves is popular for its exotic spicy, amber, and musk aroma.
