Ginger lily

Protecting the soil and biodiversity is a longstanding commitment at Clarins. That’s whywe have always given priority to plant-based key ingredients sourced from organic agriculture, grown using sustainable farming methods that respect nature and the health of the soil. Ginger lily is an organic plant and the extract we use is obtained using a natural and environmentally friendly extraction process. Because our commitment to responsible agriculture concerns both plants and the people who grow them, Clarins works with a ginger lily supply chain in Madagascar. The program consists of several fair trade initiatives that support responsible development. Our supplier works closely with a Madagascan partner to help local communities, and through this intermediary, Clarins has contributed to the construction of nearly 20 classrooms. There are also teacher training programs and social subsidiaries in place, together with book and food aid programs in schools, and a project that facilitated the renovation and equipping of a health center.
