What is Domaine Clarins?
Traditional farming methods are used to avoid damaging the delicate ecosystem of the soil, rich in the earthworms who naturally aerate the soil and keep it healthy. Regenerative agriculture goes beyond sustainable farming to actually improve the environment, and reinforce the soil and biodiversity through natural methods.
Based on what we’ve learned at Domaine Clarins, we’re aiming to produce 100% traceable and organic products, sourced from field to pot. This is our ultimate goal, reaching beyond Domaine Clarins, where this objective is already reached. Read more about our responsible sourcing here.

Why doesn’t Clarins use only organic ingredients?
Having said that, Clarins prioritizes plant extracts that use certified organic agricultural methods. Currently 59% of our Herbarium is made up of organic plants. We’re aiming for 80% by 2025. For ingredients that are neither organically grown nor certified organic, we do our best to work with our suppliers to convert them to organic. In 2021 alone, we supported and confirmed 13 conversions to organic agriculture.
